I am going to suggest a starting date, and a length of time for the campaign.

January 1, 2006 for a starting date.
June 31, 2006 for a finish date.
Thats 6 months. But I also want to have the option to extend the campaign for 2 months if by June 31st, members still need more time to finish there builds.
This seems to be a fair way to all for a campaign legth!

Now I need some input, what do you all think of this?

Thanks!

Garry

I can go with that, I probably will break down and do my Nimitz before then, but I still have the Hornet and Enterprize left and will probably have my Lex and all the stuff I want to do with her as well.

Ahoy Garry!

6 months sounds like a decent period for building a Carrier. Probably more than enough for a 1/700 one, if built OOB, and lenghty for one of the new 1/350 carriers!!

Hey, that sounds good to me! I have the "Red Cross" campaign after the DDD, then the "Dreadnought" campaign. Waiting to start after the first of the year works well, and the length of time seems good also.

I think I'm being converted from a landlover...

I may enlist and do one, but knowing how long I spent on the 1/350 Tamiya Enterprise (you DON'T want to know), and the speed at which I work, it would have to be an OOB 1/700.

I DO have the old Revell "Doolittle Raid" Hornet (box scale maybe?) that I started in high school. You know, when LBJ was president. I got as far as making a mess of turning it into a WL build, and painting 4 of the B-25s and that's where it still is.

I may take the opportunity to just finish that, campaign eligible or not.

It sounds fine to me! It will giver me plenty of time to buy my Hornet..and maybe...just maybe...a Nimitz!......
Nah...nice pipe dream though..I'll just do the Hornet.

I was thinking about doing a 1/350 Enterprise in the future I got one for $90 bucks so I just need to get the PE stuff for the conversion or super detail the beast.

Happy Modeling
