Garry Beebe made this 1/350 Tamiya DKM Tirpitz.
This was proposed by Grumpyoldman (Dave O''Meara) and now published by me.

Oh My God!

I still find it hard to believe that he hand painted everything.

I can go out and buy the best sable brushes I can find and you can still see almost every stinking brush stroke.

Garry, if you're listening, I still stand in complete awe.

And I miss ya Bro.

Thanks Skipper for posting them.

Yes,
I noticed but it is already repaired!

Dumb :-) and Dumber :-)
A few weeks ago you called me a Rennaissance Guy - but I can tell you that I haven't done so many stupid things in a so short period of time for years - like I've just have done in the past 5 minutes!!!

Ok ok - now I think I've got it

*LOL*

Well if that's the worst you've done in years, then you needn't worry about having your title stripped! :-) :-) :-)

Handpainted you say?

My god. I wouldn't know where to start.
This is an incredible showcase of monkswork (hope I'm translating this right).

I can't find any mistakes or screwups in the paintjob.

May this model be an inspiration to all of us in the months and campaigns to come!!

Skipper, you just proven that you can make editing humorous for all of us...
(no pun intended.)
Great work on a great subject.

Garry was a real good builder and an excellent painter!

I think that the photos don't do justice to his work!
It's a great model, built oob, but as you all know, this doesn't mean that it will turn out a bad model - which by the way this is NOT

This is a great incentive for "Garry Dreadnought Campaign"

Garry was master painter, he used some PE on this which was rare for him, but what bit he used came out as well as his wonderful camoflage scheme.

Wow, it's amazing what he could do with a paint brush. I recently acquired this kit from a fellow model club member. Garry is still getting me excited about building ships!!

Howdy All,

Garry and I were really good friends. I'm going down to his house on monday to pick up all his modeling goodies. Including the Tirpitz. A few of the guys from Modelfleet and myself are putting up his stuff for sale. His wife Shirley is the one benefitting from it. She'll recieve all that is made from any sale. Not only his unmade models will be sold but so will his completed models. Garry is a friend to all. He enjoyed this hobby we all share to the fullest. His loss is felt on many sites. Seeing what you guys say about him really lifts my spirit. It's awesome to see that so many appreciate his willingnesss to give without return. If any of you have any questions about this you can e-mail me directly at [email protected].

Regards,
Ray Leathers
