I have noticed that Squadron raised their price on the Revell 72nd scale U-booat. Used to be able to get it for under $60 now it is at $72. The popularity of that kit prompted Revell to raise the price or else it is oe of the first effects from the raising of oil prices....over $60 a barrel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that the price on this, like oil, fluctuates. I've seen them as low as $60+ and as high as 70+. Squadron seems to drop the prices on them often in the low 60 range.

Delirious from the heat.

I'd be willing to bet they raise the regular price so they can then have it on sale more often at a lower price. Their sale price would probably be close to what they use to sell it normally for.

I would suspect that you're right. I know in the one of the hobby stores I visited in KC, they were running almost $78.00. And that was in April.

My LHS a guy I trust has told me the price on the kit just keeps going up from the distributors. Its a high demand kit still. I know I want to build more then one. I'm waiting for a good sale to pick up my second.

Our local Hobby Lobby added the VIII C about two weeks ago. Regular price is $68.00. They are due have a 40-50% off coupon soon or a half price sale in a couple of months.

I got mine from Tower Hobby (mail-order) seems it was $38 which is what prompted me initially to buy it. Great kit, but due to size One is my limit. I have to squeeze in all those other 350 scale warships I have awiting in the wings.

OIl is crazy at $60 a barrel.

But even at $60 a barrel, it is still way cheaper then what people would pay for the equivalent (42 gallons) of those little .5 liter bottles of drinking water or even milk !

Thanks Chief!

That's almost a free give away!

I got mine for €60 last year
And I'll stick to one - for now!
