Hello naval lads!!!
Well, I just got notice of this board and decided to run for it. Some of you here perhaps already know me from other boards and models shows but to those who don't know me I am another rare portuguese shipmodeller (yes, we are so few) and I build mostly 1/700 and occasionally some 1/400-1/350 submarines. I will keep around and try to help and ask for help on anything when in need. Best regards.
Filipe

Welcome to this net. You answered my question about Italian warship kits over on the modelwarship.website This is my home though. Hope you'll find it a little friendier here than over there. Most of us build tanks with ships as a sideline. We're not as fanatical over here, and are always ready to listen to good advice and tips for improving.

Welcome aboard Filipe! Always glad to hear from another floaty guy. Here's a tot of the King's rum, God bless him, for you. (ok, I know their's a Queen now but for most of their history the toast was to the King.)

Ola' Filipe, and welcome to the best site on the net!
I'm sure that you will find that here at the Big A, you won't be dissapointed...a great bunch of people, all sharing the same love of plastic (and resin!) together...Since you are new, Filipe, and you do love to build ships, why don't you consider entering the latest campaign that has just begun in the warship area? I'm speaking about the Dreadnoughts! Campaign, and if you click onto the "campaigns" headline on the top of the page, and then onto the "Dreadnoughts" campaign heading, you can find out more about this facet of Armorama...it's a great way to get to know the other modelers that lurk here, and to participate in a fantastic group build...

Cheers everyone. Rui Matos told me about this board a few time ago but I never remember of it until a couple of days or so...so here I am now!!! I found the Campaign feature most interesting in fact...unfortunatelly I am not building none of the subjects being approached. Usually I build small ships from minesweepers up and ocasionally a cruiser or even something bigger. Nevertheless, I will keep an eye on coming campaigns and might join one of these days.
