If I've got 8 months, it should be (hopefully) enough time to put together the largest (in size and scope of work) model I've ever completed. With so many naval enthusiasts around here, I hope to be as accurate with her as possible.
I will give her the WEM PE. treatment, three full sets plus a flight deck showing her the day prior to her launching the B25's. As it stands, I have 16 B-25's, 12 Wildcats, 12 Devastators, 12 Dauntless.

Have a good time. I have (so far) built 2 of Trumpeter's carriers the Essex and Nimitz. I am now starting on #3 the Lexington. I'm going to backdate mine to pre-war so it looks mine will be as challenging as yours

Hmmm
I have an old Tamiya Hornet in 1/700, maybe if I get teased enough with your build I can reproduce it :-)
Keep us updated on your progress

Hey Frank,
I'm looking forward to your entry. I really wanted to do a Hornet for this campaign, but just couldn't swing the purchase. I'll watch your build with envy.
