those little white things in the middle of the water are birds. I took a lot of detailed pix with my film camera because it has a closeup lens. Has them loading torpedoes, a train and a whole other street full of HO German houses that I'm sure Tom would recognize even if he does do "N" scale.

I might have a close up that gives the numbr when I get my pix back. I was just more entranced with all the extra stuff rather than the boat.

That particular cammo scheme suggests that it could be U-253. Although, I believe there was one other boat that a very similar scheme.

When I first looked at this, my eyes were drawn to the birds in flight (yeah, I have priorities straight.. ) and then I thought, wow what a cool dio of fishing village...

And then it hit me..D'oh! Ein Boot!
In looking at it, I would really like to see this in person because I have the feeling that a photograph does not do it justice.
Thanks for posting this Steve!

I kind of echo Steven. At first look I thought it was just a fisihing scene. I noticed the birds before I noticed the U-boat. Maybe that camo job worked after all.

I'll bet this is very impressive in person. Maybe it will be at Nationals.

WOW, that is some great work there. Is that early Lexington, or is it Sara, our own Steve's, Blaster76? I'm also impressed with the various figures with that LCVP.

Who says you can't pack a small scale diorama with detail. All the projects are very nicely done.
I love the aircraft carriers.

Slodder, you're showing your tank bias. It's hard for me to wrap my mind around a 1/72 U-boat being "small" in any way shape for form.

In regards to the water for the landing craft, do they use acrylic blocks that are hollowed and then boat dropped in or is this material poured around the boat while it sets in forms? I've always wondered how this method was accomplished. Cause I like it!

I'm always too chicken to try water, I'm always looking for an easy, idiot -proof method that makes convincing water.
