Just the initial mockup showing the shoreline. All but 1 PT are by WEM the other PT, landing craft and trucks Jeeps are by ISW. The Betty is from tamiya's King George and the Quonset huts are resin castings made by myself. I also have 4 palm trees :-) Lots of work to do here with terrain docks and vegitation but I think you can get a pretty good idea.

I think it's going to look pretty awesome Mike. You'll be putting in some hours on that one. I like the trucks and the jeep! I built an airbase(1/144th) (A B-29 base located here) for the university's library and I had a devil of a time finding anything. I did finally find a couple of trucks and some jeeps, they were resin, but they were in sad shape. Lots of voids and just poor condition all the way around. Can't even recall who made them now. I used them, I had to. ISM make those in 1/144th as well?
Anyway,I like the ones you're using, they look really nice and I can't wait to see what this is going to look like when finished. If it's alright to ask, will this be going to a museum?

Very nice Mike. Keep us posted. What are you going to do with the Betty? Was it abandoned?

No, just another commission for a regular customer. He's never sent me a photo but he has 120+ examples of my work so I guess you could call that a museum?

The Betty's going to be a wreck surrounded by foliage-broken wings etc...

Seriously though. Given your high level standards and quality of work, I know I am going to love seeing this one when you are done

Hi MIke
I like how this is developing.
Very nice.
120 examples of your work man oh man what a collection. But I can see why your client likes your work.

Definitely developing into a fine dio. You might try to find some of those 3d 350 scale figures. I wish I could tell you who made them, heck I wish I could find them to get some myself, but you might want to get a set of the photo-etched ones. with paint on them they do fill out a bit

Hi Guys,
I have L'Arsenal fig's buit I don't have the time. I'm having rotator cuff surgery Monday and this dio, and a 1/350 Montana/Gearing dio needed to be done in 4 weeks time. After I laid out the mockup I noticed 2 of the bases corners were dented-first time in 100+ cases so I had to send it back and wait for a replacement. The Montana and Gearing just finished photos:

and I'm working overtime to get this finished by this weekend.
