Hi all

I have been away most of the last couple of months, mainly because of technical problems with my ISP, which btw are solved. This and a couple more issues related with my personnal life, resulted that I understood during this time that it was not fair to keep you guys "waiting" and wondering about my whereabouts and although I know I am not unreplaceable, I have talked with JimS and offered my position of Managing Editor back.

I will not leave MSW, just stepping down of my CO chair - a though decision, but a needed one for the success of MSW and all the wonderfull crew that makes it such a great place to visit... and stay!!!

With this, an open position stands for Managing Editor for ModelShipWrights. If anyone around feels that have the needed skills and time to spend and dedicate, please make your application to Jim Starkweather.

Again, this is not a good bye

Mark would be my first choice as he has the technical skills required to do the job. I know I certainly don't as well as I'm virtually persona non grata

I wish you the best of luck Rui and hope you can get everything straightened out soon.

I’m sure with all the talented people around here we could find someone to do the job but it wont be the same without you at the helm.

Best of luck.

We'll miss you Skipper. You ran a good ship. I hope to see you retrurn when time and circumstances allow.

i hope the new captain doesn't drill us to death and make us stand double watches or anything like that. I'm getting too old for that stuff.

Rui,
I just wanted to put out a big public T*H*A*N*K*S for helming the Warships section and MSW till now. You did great and I am sorry that time limits have caused you to step down from the big chair. That said I am sure that the next person will be happy to get your help and expertise in the future.

I will be posting the job description for Rui's position right after this so for everyone else please check it out and give it some consideration.

Thanks,
Jim
