Damn! I thought the ELCO was gonna be the only one...

I hope to get some pics of this one at Nuremberg - see if they'll give me an advance copy as well?

I noticed this one immediately on Fabio's post about new Italeri releases. What do these kit makers think, that we all have unlimited budgets and live in McMansions? I just hope to see some of these big kits, 1/72 Gato, 1/35 Elco, 1/35 S boote, etc, built on some contest table someday. It will be quite a while before I see any of them built on MY display cases. Sigh!

It seems that the Schnellboot should be more than 1 meter long in 1/35 -if i was to get it, i would cut it in -say 5 different bits that I would sink on various positions in dioramas, and there goes the place problem

Ohh boy there is truly a Modelling God.

I have just picked myself up of the floor.

Thanks for the heads up Mark.

I am doing very well with my New Years modelling resolution thus far.

As a reward I will get myself this kit for 2007.

Yip it wont be cheap but if I aint spending away as usual then I will be able to save funds for getting this kit. I will express my interest in an order next time I call into my local modelling shop who are by the way hardcore ship modelling guys.

Regards

Ahoy fellow shipmodelers,

Now that is great 2007 news! .......a Schnellboot in 1:35 scale!

Well I have alway wanted to try something in R/C.....looks like I
have found the perfect candidate.

Later,
Joe

Oh my god

Just imagine the possibilities to superdetail this one. Just about every accessory you could ever wish for, even crew in all possible positions can be found in 1/35.

I think the decision to buy this one for most die-hard shipmodellers will mostly not be depending on the price, but on the availability of place to put her..

She should be one meter long.. and like Joe says, this will be a perfect opportunity to get into ship R/C.

I can already see it... a S-100 with full crew on battlestations speeding over the water , chasing totally clueless ducks through the local pond on a sunny sunday afternoon... That'll turn some heads for sure!!!

This is the greatest news. Skipper I have the Azimut Schnel and don't worry, you didn't miss much - major rework needs to be done to it.
The Azimut measures out to about 39-40 inches.

Hi Cheyenne

Probably (I never saw one "live"), but it can be made into an excellent model...
For instance, FF-Models Caproni CB is a chunk of resin, the only one in the market (now OOP) but it can be made into a good model - all you need is good references and work on it. I think I managed to do a good work on it.
As for the S100 from azimut, Joseph Neumeyer’s Sea Hunter dio is the proof that it can be made good
Sea Hunter Dio
I still remember him having it displayed on the stand and fully painted light grey

At least the figurine set is very good!!!!

A 1/35 Schnellboote you say? "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking"...
This is great news. I have the 1/72 kit and there is lots that can be done with it. I can imagine all the possibilities that will unfold with this beauty. It will look great next to my giant PT boat too. What the proposed "hit the street time"? Thanks, "Q"

Hhhhmmmmmm, the Vosper would be the next logical subject, don't you think?
It have to be a heckofa yacht club bar to have a Schnellboot and Vosper behind it!
Cheers!

Blaster,

I believe many of us would jump at the chance to do a reveiw of this kit. Either way I have to have this kit to put next to my 1/72 S-100.

have boat need crew in action

I hope the S Boot compells the figurine manufacturers to bring crews out to man
the boats in action .

I've stopped building the PT .
humbly awaiting a crew in action .

I will get the S Boot for sure but I really would like figures to give the boat realism and depth .

Yeah baby can't wait for this one !!!

Great news

Cheers
Michael
