All ahead full! Two more small-scale Cruisers are making their way to your hobby stores now!
RoG has released their Minotaur Class Light Cruiser in the popular diorama scale, and their early fit of the famous WWII German Cruiser in the less common 1:720 scale.

1:700 H.M.S. Tiger
80-5116

Originally designed as a light cruiser with semi-automatic 6 in (152 mm) guns, the Tiger was put on hold throughout World War II. In the 1960s, the ship was overhauled so it could combat submarine threats. The aft quarter of the ship was redesigned with a helicopter landing pad and hangars for 4 anti-submarine warfare helicopters. As part of this conversion, the ship was also upgraded to a command, control and communications vessel. This kit features a waterline hull, detailed structures, one helicopter, six lifeboats and authentic decals.

1:720 Kreuzer Admiral Hipper
80-5117

WWI was a disaster for the German Navy. Many ships were sunk, scuttled or became prize ships. By 1939, when the Admiral Hipper was commissioned, it was one of only three heavy cruisers in the German arsenal. The Hipper participated in several commerce raids against shipping in the North Sea, and the disastrous Battle of the Barents Sea. She was scuttled at her moorings in Kiel in 1945. This full-hull kit features a display stand, Arado 196 aircraft and two paint options: North Sea, 1940 or Atlantic Ocean, 1941.

I am pretty certain that the 1:700 H.M.S. Tiger is a re-release of the old Matchbox kit.

Yup the Tiger is the old Matchbox kit, needs work but a very good model can result, and it is the only game in town. I have a horrible suspicion the Hipper is the ancient generic & inaccurate Hipper class. same plastic boxed as all three back in my youth, and not right for any of them. Si
