By MODEL SHIPWRIGHTS
We have quite a few samples on-hand at the moment and are looking to build/re-build our contributor ranks. What we need are people who are handy with a digital camera, know ship modeling/kits, and can write a decent review. Not for everyone (we know) but for those out there that either have some experience at this or want to give it a try, we have lots of choices for you.
Take a look at the kits we have available and if you are interested in reviewing either as an in-box review or full-build review please contact me at [email protected]. When you review the kit and provide us the photos and text, the kit is yours from that point to do with as you please. Of course if you build a great model out of it we would love to get a build story or photos of that as well (but that part is optional). If the kit is already reviewed on the site (it happens) then at that point we would be looking for a build story or blog so that's a possibility for some of these as well.

For a complete list of the kits/items we have on-hand, check the associated topic via the link below.

Bill - It's yours if we get it.[/quote] Thanks, Boss! It supposedly ships next month. I don't have the heart (or the cash) to get the $350 in PE upgrades that Great Little Ships sells for the original kit. David Parkins (GLS's owner) says you need about 1,000 hours to do the complete build with his sets of PE.

I have had the Corvette in the stash for a few decades now and am finally getting reading for her to enter the slipway. The GLS sets are on their way.. Well all except the most expensive one. That I am ordering next week..

DJ's Hedgehog, Pom-pom and Oerlikons were beautifully cast. I took a quick peek at my half finished build yesterday. Certainly not the way I would build it now Cheers, Julian

As in your skills have progressed far above what they were when you built the little grey corvette?

Yep, rather disconcerting to see the difference in techniques then and now. And not grey but in "Western approaches" splinter scheme. Julian

I have some kits out in the shed I built when I was about 12 or so. I haven't had a look for a while. I remember I always built aircraft with their undercarriage retracted and only WW2 stuff. Airfix, Matchbox and the occaisional out-there kit were all I ever built. How things have changed.

The Snowberry was about 7 years ago, makes you cringe when you see what you got up to then Julian

Do you have someone doing the new 1/200 Bismarck? I have it, and took pre-review pictures. I also have the deck and PE set ordered, but haven't received it yet. I've done reviews for you on Armorama, and the MRR site. Did anyone take the V2 for review? I actually just built it, but didn't take pictures for a review. If you sent it to me, I'd take the pictures and pass it on to someone (free). I would pay shipping.
