Hasegawa USA is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the IJN Cruiser Noshiro in 1/350. The kit represents the ship as she sailed into the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
For most of its career, Noshiro was an extremely lucky ship. At Leyte Gulf that luck ran out. With a force of battleships, cruiser and destroyers, Noshiro surprised the light ships of the U.S. 7th fleet. Outnumbered, outgunned and outclassed, U.S. forces proceeded to win one of the most lopsided engagements in naval history. Noshiro helped sink a carrier but was sunk by aircraft the next day. Three detailed photo-etched parts kits are available for this item!

Kit Features:
- A detailed kit of the Noshiro with new flight deck
parts and decals:
- I.J.N. 2nd fleet, 2nd torpedo squadron, June 1944.
- Parts kits feature great photo-etched upgrades to
make your model look effortlessly authentic.

If you are asking what the differences would be between the three Cruisers, and what would be needed to convert one to another, this should point you in the right direction: Agano light cruisers

I have the Yahagi and was wondering if there was enough difference to warrent buying this kit.

Julian: Thanks for the heads up mate. Greg: Visually, you are looking at some very minor differences that wouldn't really be noticeable to someone who wasn't familiar with these ships. Even in this scale a trained eye may only pick out two extra guns. Again refer to the link I posted for specifics.
