After much anticipation and speculation about whether this kit will actually be released, MRC issued an offical press release stating that the 1/350 scale USS Intrepid kit will be in stores soon.

The kit will represent the Intrepid in her modified angled-deck fit, as she is today as a museum ship in New York City. Kit #64008 is a new tooling with the following specifications:

Over 1000 parts
Over 30" long
Includes display stand with name plate
Full hangar deck with positionable elevators
5 different aircraft & helicopters included: A-4, F-8, EA-1F, EA-1B, and UH-2B
4 photo-etched sheets are also included

The MSRP will be $329.98 but I expect most hobby shops will discount the price.
