Some Modelers found 1/72 scale PT Boat model kits are too small and inadequate in detail yet they have no room for the 1/35 scale kits.
Merit International offers a solution to this dilemma - a 1/48 scale kit of a US Navy 80 foot ELCO.

The model kit is 20 inches long and contains over 450 parts. The kit includes photo etch, 14 plastic sprues plus a hull and deck piece, full color paint guide, and decals.

Being 1/48 scale, you can use figures from various other manufacturers to man the kit and even add a airplane to create a diorama.

Don't believe there are any crew figs included, but Eduard does make a set of US WWll carrier deck crew figs which would fill the bill nicely.

I take this back entirely! I've just seen this set of figures and they are very disappointing as they don't appear as they do in the box art; no shirt and pants - mostly coveralls; and all the figures are bare-headed - no sailor caps. In fact, my friend used these figures as Luftwaffe ground crews!
