Well, it is about time! We now have a manufacturer's confirmation and projected release date for Merit International's 1/350 Scale HMS Ark Royal - 1939.
Soviet Navy G-5 PT Boat (1:35)
If you like 1/35 PT Boats then here's one more to add to your collection Elcos, Vospers, Schnellboots and MAS boats. Announced for this November, a G-5 PT-Boat used during World War II by the Soviet Navy. It's been mentioned before in the forums here of how builders were hoping manufacturers like Italeri would add one to their catalog and now their wait is (almost) over.
USS Enterprise CV-6 (1:350)
In what is described as a 'secret' release by Free Time Hobbies in their email newsletter, a limited quantity of a new kit of the Second World War aircraft carrier USS Enterprise CV-6 is now available for purchase at Free Time Hobbies. After their initial stock is sold out, they state it will be several months before a restock is available again with the kit's formal release.
USS John F. Kennedy CV-67 (1:350)
Thanks to Steve Joyce (blaster76) for calling our attention to this! Following up with another cold war carrier, Merit lists this kit for a June 2015 release!
New X-Craft Submarine Kit (1:35)
X-Craft was a Midget Submarine developed by the British Royal Navy for Special Warfare and Merit introduces a new kit in 'big PT-Boat' scale!
With big scale carrier kits you need big scale aircraft (well, relatively big for ship modeling scales). Assembled and pre-painted aircraft packs are Merit's newest offerings.
USS Yorktown CV-5 (1:350)
I just stumbled across this today at the Merit site and states its availability as 'NOW' and is reported to be of 'new tooling'. The first ship in the 3 ship Yorktown class of fleet carriers, Yorktown was built from lessons learned from the smaller Ranger class and converted from cruiser Lexington class ships.
In March of this year, Felix Bustelo filed a report of Merit's Late Elco 80' PT-Boat. Now Merit is offering an earlier version of that same craft.
A Chinese manufactured version of the Soviet made Osa class missile boat, the Type 21 class boats were made in several versions - t he Huangfeng class, Hola class, and Houdong class. The majority of Type 21's have being transferred to the reserve services but several dozens remain active and these active units are being rearmed with C-101 supersonic anti-ship missiles.
Announced here, last October, by Jim Adams, new images of the now available Merit Mil-67201 1/72 Russian Navy OSA Class Missile Boat, OSA-1. If you've developed a taste for 1/72 boats, you have to take a look at this one!
A 1/48 Scale PT Boat (1:48)
Some Modelers found 1/72 scale PT Boat model kits are too small and inadequate in detail yet they have no room for the 1/35 scale kits.
Merit Models is pleased to announce another big kit to their line up. This time they offer us the 1/72 OSA-1 Russian Navy Missile Boat.
