Five new exciting releases from Alanger Models will have you seeing "Red!"
Alanger Models, a leading Russian manufacturer of plastic model kits, has released five new early summer releases, all focusing on Russian ships. These are very interesting and unique subjects, and should prove to make an interesting addition to your fleet!

The List

#040008, "Tovarisch' Soviet Training Tall Ship", This beautiful sailing vessel was built in record time – in 100 days only at Blom und Foss shipyard, Hamburg in 1933 financed by voluntary contribution. She was the winner of The International Sailing Regatta in 1974 and 1976. More than 17,000 cadets were taught during her sailings, and the vessel acted in more than 40 films.

#040010, Russian Navy Cruiser "Avrora", A participant of The Russian-Japanese war, the cruiser was one from the little quantity of the ships, which was luckily left whole after the battle of Tsushima. The cruiser was modernized many times within it`s nearly 100-years of service. This model kit reproduces the appearance of the cruiser of 1941.

#040011, "Potemkin", Russian Navy Battleship, On September 25, 1898, in the south of the country of Russia, in a town known as Nicholaev, the “Knyaz Potemkin Tavrichesky” was built. In according with tactic and technical characteristics “Knyaz Potemkin Tavrichesky” was the strongest in it`s class of the ships in Russian military fleet.

"040012, "St. Panteleymon", Russian Navy Battleship, After revolt in 1905 the squadron battleship “Potemkin” was renamed into “St. Panteleymon”. After many successful battles, the reconstruction of the broken and already old ship was decided not feasible, and was scrapped in 1923.

#040013, "Arctica", Russian Nuclear Powered Icebreaker, length – 148m, width – 30m, displacement – 23 thousand tons, speed in opened water – 20 knots, ice-passability – 2m.
