Atlantic Models has announced the release of photo-etched detail sets for the old Frog/ Novo kit of HMS Exeter in 1/500 scale and the Frog/ Novo/ Eastern Express kit of HMS Tiger/Lion/Blake in 1/415 scale.

The new HMS Exeter in 1/500 scale photo-etched detail set contains many replacement parts for the kit, such as Catapults, Crane, Pom Pom Deck, 4" Gun Enclosures, 20mm Gun Tubs, Platform Supports, Depth Charge Rails, Anchors etc. There also a lot of additional parts such as Boat Fittings, Radar Antennas, Funnel Grills, Ventilator Grills, and of course the Tailored to Fit Guard Rails.

The HMS Exeter in 1/500 set (50003) is now in production and pre orders are being taken. The price is set at £16.95 GB Pounds.

The HMS Tiger/Lion/Blake Detail set for the 1/415 scale Frog/ Novo/ Eastern Express kit. This set in the basic form was originally destined for the Atlantic Models range of esoteric and odd scale iems back in 2008, but White Ensign Models decided to take it on as a trial to see if covering old and out of production kits was viable. The form of the set was rearranged to try and increase the yield, but was not practical because of the need for certain items and the fact it was an odd scale that was not repeated for any other kit, and thus additional sets of ladders and doors and hatches were impractical.
The set is still in its original form but has a few new features such as newly designed Accomodation Ladders, Extra Inclined Ladders, Plain Doors and Hatches etc. The set includes Lattice Main and Fore Masts, Crane Jib, Early Radar antennas, Boat fittings, Anchors and Chain, and enough Railing to fit out all the edges of the decks and platforms. There are enough parts to fit out one kit.

The HMS Tiger/Lion/Blake in 1/415 set (ATEMisc05) is coming soon and pre orders are being taken. The price is set at £16.95 GB Pounds.
