1⁄1200
Tuesday, April 07, 2015 - 10:35 PM UTC
Another 1/1200 capital ship is coming to the market. This December, Revell of Germany is releasing a new kit of the HMS Prince of Wales.
HMS Prince of Wales was the second battleship built in the King George V class. Together with HMS Hood she was sent to hunt down the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen. After the sinking of the Hood on 24.05.1941 the already seriously damaged Prince of Wales fired some salvo's at Bismarck before withdrawing. The Bismark suffered damage to her steering system making her partly un-manoeuvrable. After being transferred to the Far East theatre she was finally attacked and sunk on 10 December 1941 by large formations of Japanese aircraft.
This is a waterline kit (No. 05135), with the following stated features:
- Deck with many superstructures
- Gun turrets
- Cranes
- Ship-borne airplane
- 45 parts
