On on the heals on the announcment to Revell's Gato return, RC Subs releases their latest in PE decking for the kit. This time it's the 1944 version with a single boat locker.

US Submarines went through many conversions during the course of the Second World War, causing many boats to have features unique to themselves. The Revell kit is modeled after the USS Cobia as she is now at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum so it represents a specific boat as she appeared late in the war with steel decks replacing much of her original teak wood decks.

Earlier this year RC Subs had released early war Gato decks and now this release brings up to 1944. This set has the single boat locker pattern for late war Gato's as well as an extension to the decking of the anti-aircraft mount on the sail. It is listed for 74 € or ($84.00 US) plus shipping.
