Type XXI U-Boat (1:72)
Considered by some maritime historians as the first 'true' submarine in that its performance was better when submerged than on the surface, the Type XXI u-boat is available in a new 1/72 kit by RC Subs. As usual with RC Subs previous offerings, it abounds with PE.
We've been familiar with RCS's PE work for some time, providing excellent sets for upgrading details and conversions for Revell's 1/72 scale boats. Now they are diversifying their product line, starting with plan drawings of the grey wolves of the Battle of the Atlantic.
RC Sub, a maker of outstanding PE details for the 1/72 Revell U-Boat kits, is looking to add new product to his line. This would be a conversion kit for the Revell Type IXC U-505 kit (No 05114) to make it into a Type IXC40 (U-534 style) boat.
For Revell's Type IXC/40 U-boat (No 05133), extensive PE detailing for decking, conning tower and more. Many of these parts can be used on both the Type IX and Type IXC/40 kit.
On on the heals on the announcment to Revell's Gato return, RC Subs releases their latest in PE decking for the kit. This time it's the 1944 version with a single boat locker.
Early War Gato Decks in PE (1:72)
Coming from RC Subs, Gato class submarine wood decks circa 1942, replicated in PE for the Revell kit (No. 05047). The kits out of box is patterned after the museum boat USS Cobia as she looked later in the war with steel decks.
Decking for Revell's Gato (1:72)
There's been a lot of aftermarket sets made for Revell's big U-boats and now RC Sub's latest is PE decking for the Revell 1/72 Gato kit (No. 05047). The Revell Gato was based off the USS Cobia, moored by the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, as she is today in late/post war decking.
RC Subs has produced more PE details for u-boat kits from Revell and ICM in 1/72 and 1/144. Also new are ship railings.
PE Sets for Revell's VIIC/41 (1:144)
For those who prefer their submarine models less then a yard long, RCSubs has announced a 1/144 PE set for Revell's Type VIIC/41 u-boat (kit no. 5100).
RCSubs has new photo etch offerings for the Revell Type VIIC and VIIC/41 U-Boat kits (Nos.5015 and 5045). There's even a set for a VIID conversion.
RC Subs has moved to surface ships now with a set for Trumpeter's big Bismark kit.
RC Subs has produced sets for the 1/72 Type-IX, Type VII and the Skipjack subs and now has done a set for the Type-VIiC.
Skipjack Details in Detail (1:72)
At the end of April we gave a glimpse of RC Subs' photo etch set for the Moebius/Revell USS Skipjack. Now RC Subs has provided images of those parts mounted to the kit.
RC Subs is releasing a new photo etch detail set for the Revell/Moebius big Skipjack kit.
RC Subs from the Czech Republic is a relatively new comer to the aftermarket manufacturer field.
Yesterday I mentioned about a new product for the Revell Type IX kit from a relatively new company called RC Subs. I received more information from them about their Type IX enhancements and more.
You knew there'd be something coming out to dress up Revell's giant and this one looks like a beauty!
