The LHS's shelves are not cleared of the previous production run and they're releasing again! But the Laffey's and Gearing's are certainly welcome - as long as Dragon doesn't boost the prices!

Availability all depends on where you are. I, for one, am really considering the Gearing or Lafey.

Interesting. I might keep my eyes open for the San Diego, always liked the Atlantas.

If you haven't got or seen this 1/700 model yet, you will be disappointed when you do. It's obviously not an original Dragon kit; awkward construction for the upper hull, poor to abysmal weaponry (although Dragon has included sprues from their Essex for new gun turrets), oversized portholes, errors in parts locations (for instance, turrets 2 & 3 are too far forward), and a general and overall lack of fine surface detail - as opposed to their much finer 1/700 Bensons and Laffeys class. If you spend enough on time, putty, and AM products you can make a satisfactory model. Mine's temporarily back in the box until I decide I want to do that!

And where is the promised Atlanta class in1/350 ?

That product got scuttled years ago!

Well, then I gues I will go with my money to someone else. For a moment there it looked like Dragon could be a player in the 1/350 scene, but Il guess they dont need that marked.

I contacted Dragon about the Atlantis kit and they responded that they have no date for it.
