Keep your eyes open for a June 2019 release of Dragon Models, 1/350 scale German Battleship Scharnhorst - 1940!

Slated for a May release, Dragon Models announces a re-issue of their 1/350 scale U.S.S. Kidd (DDG-993).

Dragon had a previous Scharnhorst kit in the same scale that represented her as she looked in 1943. Now a new Smart Kit is coming in November that represents Scharnhorst as she appeared in 1941.

A fleet of Dragon ship kits are being re-released in both 1/700 and 1/350. They range from battlewagons to destroyers, most 'premium' editions and 'smart-kits'.

The USS Lake Erie (CG-70), a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser, entered service on 24 July 1993. Dragon has released a 1/700 Ticonderoga class model in the past but this kit has been updated to reflect more recent additions to the class in service.

Dragon has earlier offered 1/350 scale kits of the Z31, Z38 and Z39 destroyers, and the trio is now being joined by their sister, Z32.

From their "Black Label" series, an all new tooled kit of the newest ship in the US Navy! This sci-fi looking ship was launched last October and is to be in full service by 2016.

Dragon Models have released detailed information on the impending release of their 1/350 U.S.S. Livermore DD-429, 1942 ~ Smart Kit.

The most exciting news is that this kit will be released in April 2009. The retail price has yet to be announced.

Dragon Models have released detailed information on the impending release of their 1/700 German Battleship "Tirpitz". This is a Premium Edition of the earlier kit and the dramatic box art portrays the Tirpitz participating in Operation Sizilien, the German raid on Spitsbergen, Norway, in September 1943.
The most exciting news is that this kit will be released in February 2009. The retail price has yet to be announced.

As with most of the recent Smart Kits releases this kit will incorporate many innovative features including photoetch and the latest in slide mould technology. NEWS in from Dragon Models Limited, direct from the Dragon Hobby Expo, a super teaser of the latest upcoming addition to their 1/350 scale ship offerings!

Dragon Models continues their pursuit of bringing the modeler the biggest bang for the buck. Due out July of 2008, the newest member of the premium edition line will be the 1/700 USS Spruance (DD-963). Previously released by Dragon, the kit has now been completely overhauled and refitted. This means all the accuracy and detail of the original kit has been retained, while new photo-etched parts are added to replicate the deck railings, radars, masts and etc. No price has been announced as of yet.

As a follow on to the earlier news report of Kenny Loup in February 2008 Dragon Models have released some more detailed information on the 1/350 USS Buchanan. As with most of the recent Smart Kits releases this kit will incorporate many innovative features including photoetch, pliant paper fiber for flags and decals representing the deck walkway texture. The most exciting news is that this kit will be released in May 2008. The retail price has yet to be announced.

Have you ever wanted to do a D-Day diorama but just don’t have the room? Dragon Models has the solution. Coming in April of 2008, Dragon will release their 1/72 LCM(3) Landing Craft + M4A1 w/Deep Wading Kit from the Armor Pro Series. This kit includes Dragon’s 1/72 LCM(3) landing craft and a brand new 1/72 M4A1 Sherman with the deep wading trunks. Dragon also packs photo etch and other diorama goodies in this kit for the modeler.

Building on their growing list of 1/700 Essex class carriers, Dragon Models is proud to introduce the upcoming release of the 1/700 CVS Princeton. As with most of the Premium Edition level models, this kit comes complete with photo etch details and a clear flight deck. This kit will be released in April 2008. The retail price has yet to be announced.

Dragon Models goes back in time to World War 2 with their upcoming 1/350 release. Coming soon, the 1/350 USS Buchanan DD-484 will mark the first time a pre-Fletcher class destroyer is released in 1/350 scale. Loaded with details, Dragon offers us a Premium Edition right from the start with the inclusion of a photo etch fret. This kit features two different 5” barrels, on that can be elevated and the other with a molded blast bag. This kit represents the early war USS Buchanan. The release date and price has yet to be announced.

Continuing their Premium Edition line of ships, Dragon Models proudly announces their 3 in 1 Premium Edition 1/700 Russian Navy Pyotr Veliky. Dragon’s Pyotr Veliky (Peter the Great) has been released before, but as with their other Premium Edition kits, it has been completely reworked and is offered as a 3-in-1 kit. The other Kirov-class large missile cruisers that can be assembled from this kit are Admiral Nakhimov (formerly christened Kalinin, and which is also actively serving in the Northern Fleet) and Frunze. All parts necessary to accurately render any of these three vessels are included in the kit, offering modelers more choice. As with other Premium Edition releases, there is photo-etched parts for items like helicopter's rotor blades, railings, antennas and radar. This kit from Dragon represents one of the most powerful naval ships patrolling modern-day oceans.

Modelers take note. We’ve asked for it and Dragon Models delivers. Coming soon, 1/700 USN Aircraft Sets. These new accessory kits will range from mid WWII to the Korean War for Dragon’s wide range of US Navy flattops. These kits include aircraft with both fixed and folded wings. Expected release date for these aircraft sets is December of 2007.

Hot off the press, Dragon Models announces their latest release, the LPH-4 USS Boxer. This detailed kit can be built full-hull or waterline hull. The flight deck elevator and deck-edge elevator can be displayed in any position. Also, Dragon includes 8 new UH-34J Sea Horse helicopters. As with Dragon’s other new maritime kits, photo-etched parts are included for items like antennas, safety nets and radar masts to ensure greater accuracy and scale authenticity. With it’s rich history, the USS Boxer is a very interesting and exciting new 1/700 ship kit.

This just in. Dragon Models announces the November release of the 1/700 HMS Sheffield Premium Edition. Honoring the 25th anniversary of the Falklands War, Dragon brings the modeler a very nice upgraded kit of the first ship lost in combat in 40 years, at that time. Retail cost has yet to be announced.
