Coming this November, the Yahagi is a version of the Agano class light cruiser kit that is of a new mold as opposed to Hasegawa's previous release of the Agano herself. It will also include markings and detail associated with Yahagi as she was at the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
The Agano class of light cruisers were among Japan's newest warships, with the Yahagi entering service in early 1944. She went through her first battles without damage but was sunk with the Yamato near Okinawa during "Operation Ten-Go".

This kit (No. 40092) is scheduled for a November 17th release this year and is available for pre-oder at the Hobby Link Japane retail site for ¥8,320 ($69.30 USD) plus shipping.

Also, to note, while Hasegawa has a posted release date for November 17th, HLJ lists their availability as for October.

Yahagi had one of the nicest profiles of IJN cruisers. Is this a new tooling kit?

From what I can tell from translating the Hasegawa Japanese site, that describes this as a 'new molding', it's a least a re-tooled mold. They released a 'Yahagi' kit in 2009 labeled 'Operation Ten-Ichi-go 1945' so I can't imagine they'd do another from scratch.

Yes the 2009 release was Apr 45 config and this one will be Oct 44. Probably not a huge difference. Maybe radar and AA config.

The site also mentioned specific PE detail for searchlights specific to the '44 operation.
