A relatively unknown boat, the Project 673 SSN was designed in 1960 as a small and fast SSN. To maximize speed, the sail was removed and because of the lack of a sail, this submarine could have been the most maneuverable submarine ever built. Micro-Mir has now released their kit of this Soviet era 'X' boat.
According to text from Micro-Mir, the Project 673 boat would have been less than 1,500 tons in displacement and capable of 35-50 knots in submerged speed. It's believed the design tests on this boat led to much of the development of the 'Alfa' class (NATO name) of Soviet era attack SSN's.

This kit (350-023) is comprised of about 14 plastic parts, a decal sheet and PE details.

This kit has not yet reached all of the typical vendors for Mircro-Mir's products but a Ukraine based Amazon dealer lists this kit for $26.99 (US) including shipping.
