Hasegawa has announced the December 2016 release of HSGE45, the Kawanishi H8K2 Type 2 Flying Boat Model 12 "Emily" in 1/72 scale.

Hasegawa has finally decided to update their classic Kawanishi H8K “Emily” flying boat – nearly 50 years after the release of their original H8K in 1967! There hasn’t been much information released on this kit as yet, but it is reportedly an entirely new tooling based on the latest historical research – and presumably without the oversized rivets that festooned their old Emily!

The kit will include a full crew sculpted by Mr. Takeichiro, best known for the Modelkasten sets of masterpiece figures. There will also be a small photo etched detail set to be sold separately for about $15.00 http://hlj.com/product/HSGQG67
