Built as a luxury liner and auxiliary troopship just after the end of WWII, SS United States was the fastest Atlantic passenger liner in the world for many years. Her four steam turbines produced power equivalent to that on many WWII era aircraft carriers and made her capable of 38 knots. Today, she quietly awaits restoration or the scrapper's torch at dock in Philadelphia. She has been berthed since the seventies and changed owners repeatedly. Kit features single piece waterline hull, 24 lifeboats, detailed superstructure, three derricks, display stand and full decals.
