Gunny, Okay I've had about all I can take. The model companies will have to start makeing kits in 1/350 and have a full hull or I will have to go to there company headquaters and flip bottle caps at them. I don't want 1/700 and I don't want waterline. Come on guys lets start a petition and get things changed.

Sorry Frank but I want 1/700 and I want waterline, I don't have the room to display 1/350 ships full hull or waterline. There is only a very limited few 1/350 that would make it into my collection and so far only one has been released and thats in resin at over £200 so at that cost it won't be joining my collection. Are these resin or injectin molded. Judging by the price I'ld go with Injection, if so even though like Frank I don't do 700 scale, I welcome them as long as ship kits are coming in of different types rather than the endless Yamatos, Bismarcks, and Iowas. Our little niche in the hobby is growing and expanding. Look at all the great 350 stuff on the verge of being released by Trumpeter and Hasegawa. Tamiya dropped one on us with no fanfare. Right now I have 11 built 350 scale and 10 unbuilt ones. If I wanted I could have even more if I was doing subs, Chinese warships, pre WW1 stuff, and variants of the Essex and destroyer kits out there. No complaints here

All of HP's kits are resin. Like Luciano, I would love to see some of these great 1:700 subjects found only in resin offered in plastic. I also like the fact that companies like Hasegawa and Tamiya are retooling their older kits.

These kits came out late last year. I have built one of them. The kit itself is quite good but does need a bit of reworking. Luciano, I see you are in South East England. HP kits are available from Dorking Models in Surrey. Cheers, Rob

Resin....too bad There is a wealth of resin stuff out there. The price isn't too bad, of course the battleships back then were about as big as a late world awr 2 US havy crusier. Still, if one were to want to build World War 1 era stuff, 700 beats the heck out of 1200.
