Fujimi has announced the May 2018 release of Gunkanjima (Battleship Island) in 1/3000 scale.

According to Fujimi:
A new battleship appears in Fujimi’s 1/3000 scale line of warship dioramas! Well, perhaps not technically a battleship, but Gunkanjima in Japanese translates to Battleship Island! Hashima Island, commonly called Gunkanjima for its distinctive shape, is an abandoned island lying about 15 kilometers from the city of Nagasaki, in southern Japan. Gunkanjima was a coal mine in operation from 1887 until 1974.
• Runners are divided into base parts, housing parts, crane and ship.
• The west side of the island is partly molded separate to make it easy to reproduce distinctive features and colors.
• To reproduce the surrounding sea, one sea plate molded in blue is included.
• Stickers and decals are included.
• Island parts molded in grey plastic.

The Gunkanjima (Battleship Island) may be preordered from Hobbylink Japan at https://hlj.com/product/FUJ40145 for ¥2,080 or about US$20.00.
