Fujimi has announced the July 2019 release of a black plastic Warship Display Base.

The dimensions of the plastic base aren’t provided, but it is likely the same part as included with Fujimi’s 1/700 Nagato and Yamato kits – so perhaps five or six inches in length. It also comes with alternate hull mounts.

These types of bases can be quite useful; Fujimi suggests that it may be turned over and used as a parts bin during model construction... use your imagination! I recently repurposed a similar part from a Nichimo 1/200 U-Boat as a base for my 1/2400 Ryujo.
