Mikro Mir has announced the release of a1/144 scale Holland-class submarine British submarine.
The Holland class were the first submarines built for the Royal Navy. They were built by Vickers, Barrow-in-Furness. The first three were designed by John Philip Holland. The Hollands were built under license from the Holland Torpedo Boat Company/Electric Boat Company during the years 1901 to 1903

The Holland-class submarine is available from Hobbylink Japan at https://www.hlj.com/1-144-scale-holland-class-submarine-mkr144-011 and can be ordered for about US$22.

That is an oddly interesting announcement from MikorMir as I have built this at least 2 years ago. Note: In my copy of the PE fret, the triangular tower supports were not hollow as shown in the pic but were solid...replaced with scratch built styrene ones with the proper holes. Kit was originally released in 2016..perhaps a re release? Cheers,

I guess Mikro Mir thought a slightly revised photoetch sheet justified a re-release. Not much new, but it is good to see a model of this important sub available again.

Thanks for sharing Tim. Had no idea someone did a kit of this. A few years ago I got the chance to go on the Holland at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum at Gosport. It's very small and cramped! They did a fantastic job of restoring the submarine and it's kept in a humidity controlled room.
