Gunze Sangyo have announced the release of their 1/700 Japanese Naval Figures photoetch set. It is understood that these are a pre-painted photoetch set of figures. There is no release date at this point in time nor an indicative price.

Cool!, More figures in the divine scale and these are in different uniforms as well as officers and other ranks. Always nice to have more figures in poses other than what is already out there. Lets you break up the out fit from ship to ship. I am wondering why some are dedicated strictly for the Yamato though?

Jay: The Yamato uniforms have different buttons, that's why! I gave up putting those "Gumby" figures on my ships. If you look at them sideways they disappear!

This is probably a scaled down 350 set. The 350 Yamato is a real big seller. The tan uniforms were (I would venture a guess) used at the end of the war on the Yamato's final ride which is the way the 350 scale version is configured

um, another batch of figures...cant complain at all! Maybe someone can make a side by side comparision/review of all the figure sets that have come out last few months
