Adalbert Schnee's U-2511 (April, 1945)

Gluing the kit together was quite difficult, more so with my pressure hull inside. This is due to the fact that the hull is made of two halves and the deck is also made from two pieces. All of this did not line up very well so I would highly recommend not going through what I had to and using a slower drying glue as well as several helping hands. Even after the hull was glued together, I’ve had to do a lot of filling and sanding, which took the most time in building this kit.
Once that was done, I’ve sprayed some Gunze Sangyo 1200 primer, sanded and then reprimed several times, then pre-shaded the kit.(See Above)

Other modifications I’ve made include:
Thinned out propellers.
Created shafts for the periscopes (only one is partly visible in the picture)
Created a shaft for the Schnorkel.
Added a small post on the rear side of the conning tower for rigging as shown in reference picture.
Added some micro-screen to several flood holes on the front side as seen on the U-2518 pictures.
Added a flag pole and a Modelflags.com fabric flag.

This is what I really like, somebody taking the time and effort to research an item and do as good a job as they can to recreate it. This is modeling. Great job.
