I am going to go out on a limb and give this answer.
One - IJN Yamashiro
Others were damaged by gunfire, but only one, from my research, was sunk becasue of it.

According to my "sources" the IJN Yamashiro was heavily damaged by naval gunfire from US battleships & destroyers, but was eventually sunk by torpedoes.

If that is the case then I will say ZERO.
I count the Bismark as a scuttle.

Correct! No battleships were sunk in WW2 due to naval gunfire. Many were severly damaged by naval gunfire (Yamashiro, Fuso, Kirishima, Bismark, etc), but all were sunk either by naval torpedoes, aircraft (bombs & torpedoes), or scuttled. Or if your Bismark torpedoed & scuttled, depending on which account you read.
Ok, Jim, "Batter up!"

Who am I? A contemporary naval leader, I was missing two fingers on my left hand due to battle injuries suffered as a young officer. I commanded my nations Navy During World War II.

Any idea why they called her that? I kind of figured it might be an Australian ship, but I really didn't have a clue.

The only source I found said the sailors named her that because of the way she danced and race across the South Pacific while fighting the Japanese.
I seriously thought it would be an Australian ship as well, or maybe British.

Thats it. The shaft only turns one direction, so the blades move.
