France’s Multipurpose Commando Boat
On January 3, 2008, the French Navy’s loadable multipurpose commando boat (ECUME) N°1 arrived in Lorient. It has succeeded in the contractual tests within the various naval units of the French navy among which the Navy commando base, ASW frigate Latouche Tréville, landing ship dock Foudre and La Fayette-type frigate Courbet.
With the success of the test, the boat has been accepted by the DGA. From now on, this boat is entering an audit period of its preliminary to initial operational capacity military features, under the leadership of ALFUSCO.
Commandos, as far as they are concerned, will initiate a training and ownership cycle of this new boat.

Another good one indeed, I hope they are paying you well for all this hard work.

Hmm, why is it when I see rubber on a boat, the Marine in me wants to poke a hole in it with my Kabar???

Looking forward to the next installment.
