I understand perfectly your "pain", but the Shimokita is a good modern choice (big and full of potential for a compact action scene, as there are already some in our MOD's).
Hi Rui,
I had only seen the build by Christer Johansson. Are there others? Mine will be different from his because I'll be using the clear deck to show the interior of the ship.

It won't be first wave. They will be on their way to the beach.

Well got the LCVP at the weekend and some literature to go with it,I was going to do a Normandy scene but could only seam to get USMC firure sets at the show

So I,ll do a Tarawa scene with white sand beach head and will have a go at some palm leaves lying around and the Marines pushing up the beach under fire keeping low down for cover. That,s the idea anyway

Hey everyone, I'm excited to say that I'm part of the Gator Navy campaign! My submission is the Trumpeter kit below, and I'll probably imitate the box art to complete my dio. Stay tuned for more...

I'm starting off slow but steady and here's the fruits of my labor from making it part way through step 3.

Hey all,
I've decided to do the Tamiya's Ford amphibious jeep in Soviet service (1/35). I'll probably include some aftermarket figures in cool action poses jumping or running, possibly with Kung Fu grip...

hello all,
@ GI_Babycakes,
welcome to the campaign.to echo Mark,it is nice to have a lass in the campaigns.
@Erik,
welcome to the campaign.
your build is allowed.the vehicle was designed and used to transport troops from a ship off shore to the beach and beyond.the reason i had to say said it was OK is, i had to tell one member that his proposed LAV-25 build was not allowed.
again, welcome to the campaign to both of you.
cheers,
Bruce

Yes, I would like to see that article, because I havenŽt found many reviews and/or build articles on this particular subject.
