I understand. I´m holding the construction for a few days until you send me that information. Don´t forget to mention in which FSM edition you saw that article. I might get lucky, and find someone who has bought that one.

Well I guess I have to say I'm Finished. Let me know if you see anything I need to correct. I wanted to try one just off the beach and working inland. I left the mg's off and had to place it on a base. Kept touching where I shouldn't. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for looking. If I need to post these anywhere else let me know. My problem is I can't even get into the photo section due to some problems so these are on my photobucket account.
Thanks Bruce for the campaign. I still have to do a couple of other LVT's so I might just add those in later.
Bob

hello Bob,
great looking LVT.i like your weathering and the muddy tracks.you have to put 1 photo in the official gallery to get your ribbon, but we have a few months before it gets critical.
i need to check,Mark locked it before the campaign.so that might be the problem.
again,great build.
cheers,
Bruce

Thanks Bruce,

The five tanks on the No. 101 Landing Ship comes from the Tamiya kit. Two Type 97 Chi-Ha “normal” tanks and three Type 3 Ka-Chi amphibious tanks.

Cheers

Could someone please help with a uniform colour. Did the pilots of USMC landing craft wear olivedrab uniforms and yellow life jackets or did they use a different uniform
Thanks Keith

Keith,

Landing craft, i.e. Higgins boats and LCMs, had USN or USCG crews. They wore the standard naval uniform of denim dungarees and light blue shirts with gray life jackets. Amphibious craft were crewed by US Army or USMC personnel and they wore the standard OD uniform.

Hope this helps.

Hello All,
So, how is everyone doing? My USS Boxer is still in dry dock, waiting for some parts to be delivered. Is anyone else having the same problem? My dock workers want a 10% pay increase, But I am only offering 3%.
I am having a lot of problems most of you are probably having, Nice days, Honey do list and just being lazy.
Is there any updates from anyone?
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi to all,

As I was looking for some info about LCAC's I came across to your group build.

I hope I can still join you in the build, my entry is a 1/72 Trumpeter LCAC.

This is a 338+ part with some PE details.

I have started with some dry-fitting of the different modules.

And put some armor on its deck, just to check what it would like with a load.

I will post more as I progress. Thanks for viewing.

Thanks for the welcome, Bruce.

I am planning to add some details to my LCAC, especially inside the lift-fan and engine areas. I hope some guys here could help me on my need.

Regards,

Nicky

Greetings fellow group builders!

Here is a progress shot of my entry in this group build. It is a 1/35 Tamiya AAVP7 from back in 1986. It is a typical Tamiya kit with good fit and no filler needed so far.

Warren

Hi All Shipmates,

Here's where I'm currently held at my LCAC build:

I have found some styrene rod to serve as the main propeller shaft (blue marked), this is missing from the kit. It goes through from the lift-fan modules to the engine module and out to the propeller blades.
What I wanted to replicate is the lift-fans inside the module (red marked). I still can not find any cross section image to make it. Any of guys happens to came across of this image please give me a shout. Thanks again.

Nicky
