Thanks Keith for your tips, the lift-fans for the LCACs in particular are somewhat different than that of the jets. It looks similar to the wheels of the early steam ships with the paddles that propel it across the water. It like two disc with sandwiching some blade on the inside and curve plates on the outside and is enclosed inside the lift-fan module. This is the fan that inflates the rubber skirts and lift the craft off the water.

Nicky

Hi all.
Here is my 1/35 Tamiya AAPV7 from 1997.

I needed an excuse to build this one that I bought about 10 years ago at a sale in Penrith.
Thanks for the GB.

it's been some time, been much busy nowadays. But i've done some progress to my entry.

Done the sub-assemblies on both sides.

I plan to add some details later, if time will permit.

Next to item to work on are some details at the pilot house, stay tuned.
cheers,
Nicky

Hello Eric,
I agree, I thought we had another month or 2. Looks like I have to do 2 ships (one not started) in 11 days. Good thing I am a night owl.
Good Luck,

Hello Keith & Bob,
I have figured that you will get 10-15% complete rate for a campaign here at MSW.
I got the 15% for Gator Navy, But only a 10% for Predread campaign. That is what I expected.
But I have an idea running around in my head for some of the people that signed. I have to run it by the staff before I talk about.
Thanks for your entry's.
Cheers,
Bruce

This looks like a fantastic campaign -- I wish I had the time to contribute.
I have plans to build all versions of Italeri's LVTs and have a question for those of you who have displayed your versions here -- did you use the kit tracks or an after market set? If you used the kit tracks can you make any suggestions on improving them? Or, if you used an after market set can you make any recommendations on what ones are available or worth using ?
Thanks.
Brian
