Hi Everyone!

Well, we're at the official end of this Campaign, and what a spectacular set of large scale submersibles!

I applaud everyone who participated and by all means, keep sending in the pics to keep the thread going!

Excellent group build subject Karl, after a false start I rather enjoyed the " Beaver" Jan's rod is a classic, loved that detail.
Keith, I feel your pain, I remember grinding out al those holes in the Revell 7c years ago. The final result is better than painting the vents black though
Come on James, stop waving the " long lance" around ( or was it a kaiten?).
Alan, I am in hot water with Mrs. grem56: your MAS build was so s..y that I bought my own MAS Despite a huge amount of understanding for the need to sniff fresh plastic she was not amused ( mind you, the Revell 1/32 Arado and the 1/350 Helldivers, (for my Independence), I bought while she was in Portugal on holiday didn't make matters any better
)
If I survive today I will resurface next week
Cheers,
Julian

The floodholes on the VII is best opened from the inside, sanding down the material or using an Dremel with a appropiate tool - it will also helt getting the material down to a more scaled apperance.

I took mine outside, as its truely a mess! - holding the hullsides up agianst the sun, clearely showed where the holes are, and how much material is left before "breaktrough".

Scraping the holes clean from the inside with a sharp knife and a finishing touch with some liquide glue gives some nice clean edges.

Good luck, looking forward to follow the progress!

It's a luxury problem Keith: too many good models and not enough time to build them.........

Hi Keith!

It was worth the wait--I always look forward to seeing examples of the large Type VIIc!

It also looks like you had a nice spring day!

Hi Julian if you click on your user name top right of page then click on photos this gets you to Kitmaker network go to home page and if you are already logged in go to Active campaign,s. Look through the list and you can open up to inprogrees builds or finnished builds then up-load from there, That,s the best way I can explain in a nut shell
Hope that helps you on another subject while at the Scotish Nationls last weekend I was awarded a first in class for my Sub which I was quiet Chuffed about

The campaign Ribbon,s are awarded to those who have completed there builds. This is normally governed buy the Campaign Leader Karl in this case. The ribbons apear on the persons home page showing past campaigns. Sometimes the ribbons are only awarded within the set dates ???. That,s why I was asking about it Julian

A ribbon would be excellent, but I need the help of a graphics designer to get one laid out and distributed.

I think there was one already made on the campaign main page page:
http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Campaigns&file=index&req=showcontent&id=446
Hope the link works.......................................

Karl if you check out the campaign main page first page of the thread set up by Gunny there is a ribbon already on that page . With you as campaign leader you should have an award button on the right of page I think you highlight the enlisted person who has completed there build and the ribbons are awarded that is my understanding of how it works
Cheers Keith
