Hi folks,

Although I don't know where I'd put them in 1/35 scale I'd lie to see,

LCV
LCA (new could include one of the rocket firing types too)
LCPL
LCPR (new)
LCI and LCT Mk 4 or at least a portion of the front end if not the full kits
Fairmile MGB

I'd also like to see some of the small craft that were converted and used by the Allied Coastal Forces and even a 1/35 scale Destroyer

British, Italian and German mines.

OK I'll just throw my oar in on this one, a wish list for me includes some of the following now that the Littorio class are out, but that battle wagon needs an escort!

1/700 British Carriers: (1918 - post WWII) Glorious, Furious, Ark Royal, Hermes, Colossus, Centaur, Illustrious and Implacable classes
1/700 & 1/350 British Cruisers: (Heavy and light) Town, County, York, Leander, Dido, Arethusa classes including the modified sub classes.
1/700 & 1/350 Italian Destroyers: Navigatori, Soldati, Oriani, Turbine classes to name a few
1/700 & 1/350 Italian Cruisers: (light and heavy) Giussano, Montecuccoli, Duca d'Aosta, Duca Degli Abruzzi, Capitani Romani, Trento, Zara classes

1/35 Fairmile D, (dog boat) MGB & MTB fits
1/35 Kriegsmarine F Lighter

All in injection plastic, a big list but would like most of them in 1/700 and some of each type in 1/350

Goodness....I forgot the one I wanted the most

a 1/350 cage mast US BB

the Maryland, New Mexico, and California class all had the same hull basically

they could do a cage mast version and a bult up version like The New Mexico. have some different main gun turrets (2 and 3 guns per) and have a field day with all the different ship you could make the aftermarkts would go nuts with all they could put out

Considering that 4 of them were at Pearl (TN, CA, WVA, MD) I think there would be a good market for this. I know I would get one of each andf maybe another to convert to another class as well

1/700 Seydlitz

Its interesting to see so many people have the HMS Nelson on their wish lists! My dads uncle served aboard Nelson so its been prety high on my wish list for some time.
I'd also love to see a 1:350 Tribal-class destroyer. Very important ship class that could be be boxed as many different versions.
I would also love to see the mainstream manufacturers do some new toolings of post war Royal Navy warships like;
- 1/700 County Class Guided Missile Destroyer.
- 1/700 Leander Class frigates and its many off-shoots.
- 1/700 HMS Fearless, although that would also be a great candidate for 1:350.

Hi Ant,

Not sure if they're still making it, but you might still be able to find the Gunze Sangyo kit of the Lusitania in 1/350, which could possibly be modified to Mauretania if enough time and effort were thrown at it.

Also minicraft's 1/350 Titanic could possibly be adapted in the same way to Britannic or Olympic-however it would nice of Minicraft to tool up the Britannic and Olympic and offer it along side their sister ship.

Hope this helps

I've got the Lusitania kit started it when I was younger never finished it got about 80% done then realized my skills weren't upto the task been trying to find the kit since so I could have a fresh bash at her possibly through some P.E. at her now my skills are upto it got the minicraft Titanic aswell nice idea of the conversions Olympic shouldn't be too hard Britannic might be a challenge with those big gantry like davits she had plus the added morgue built on her aft poop deck but my brother's got lots of books on them so reference is not a problem decals for the names would be the other niggling factor it surprises me that such famous ships don't get much coverage in the modelling world I'm surprised Dragon doesn't take up the challenge seeing as they more-or-less rule the 1/35th market and the technical ability and detail they throw into their kits I believe they could do these famous ships justice I'd willingly pay £90-100 price tag these wonder kits would surely have. Ah well one can dream eh?

Now there's an idea for all the aftermaket suppliers out there: Conversion kits for Britannic and Olympic from Minicraft's Titanic! And if Gunze Sangyo weren't interested in re-releasing Lusitania then maybe somone else could aquire the moulds, clean them up and re-release her-Minicraft I'm looking at you Then the aftermarket boys could work their magic for a conversion kit to Mauretania-as you said though Ant-Ah to dream!

That's why I'm surprised Dragon hasn't took the molds as they did a lot of gunze sangyo's 1/35th tanks in their imperial series would be nice too see an all new Lusitania to mark the 100th anniversary of her sinking in 2015 come on dragon you've got 2 1/2 years lol

Hopefully one of the manufacturers is reading these posts! It sure would be great to have another liner in 1/350th to sit along side Titanic!

Ordinary merchantmen - maybe spiced up with ordnance and a Hurricane on a catapult.

IMHO it's time to change the scale

My wishlist:
1/200 Tirpitz (You need just new hull and few new parts)
1/200 Yamato (Nishimo kit is entirely obsolete)
1/200 Missouri class
1/200 Prince of Wales (Quantan paint scheme)
1/200 Hood
1/200 Prinz Eugen
1/200 S.S. Normandie

Cheers

I know these have been done by other companies, but...Bismarck, Prinz Eugen, Graf Spee by Dragon in 1/350. And WWl U-boats in styrene, 1/350. And a more reliable supply of Kriegsmarine AM secondary armaments and accessories for those models lacking.

Maybe you should give the Revell Bismarck a try.. It is a great base for a detail fest, especially with the LionRoar PE set.

I have the Revell Bismarck, bought 2nd hand, with Lion Roar PE as well as a set designed for Tamiya Bismarck. Both sets have different details so parts of both sets can be used. I recently learned that Eduard has dedicated railings for Revell Bismarck so I'll have to buy that too. It's just that Dragon has so much better fine details and better armaments. Trumpeter ships are OK but need a lot of AM parts compared to Dragon.

Some good stuff, Whilst I would be interested in Rodney / Nelson in 1/350th, I would like to see some more Cruisers & Destroyers given the Dragon / Trumpeter treatment.

(Preferably RN)

New tools of Aifix's 1/600 HMS Ajax and 1/600 HMS Ark Royal. Especially the Ajax as its out of production.

Also a model of the SMS Seydlitz in any scale would be nice!

Finally both 1/72 and 1/35 HMS Campbeltown would be a mega treat!
