Sometimes the manufacturers do read these forums. A few yers back I wished for a Littorio class BB in 350 scale and got a personal message from Trumpeter that it was in the works. So lets put a list out there and maybe we will get some of those goodies we really really want.

I would like:

a 1/350 Baltimore class US heavy crusier
a 1/350 Midway class US aircraft carrier
a 1/350 Forrestal class US aircraft carrier
a 1/350 Nelson class British battleship
more 1/350 japanese destroyer classes other than kagero
a 1/350 US attack transport with lots of LCVPs

cant think of much else they are dong PT 109 in 35th maybe a higgins PT in 72nd and 350th

Hello Steve,
How about some LSD's , Assaults Transports, Fast Resupply Ships ( Tankers, Dry Cargo, Weapons Resupply) in 1/350 scale with LST's, The LCI's family and Amtracks in 1/35 for Diorama's. Warships are good, But with out the support ships how are the troops going to get on shore and how are the warships going to get there?
Just my thoughts,
Cheers,
Bruce

A huge omission in that there are no British WW2 submarines available, (Undine in 1/400 an exception), in particular the T & S classes. The scales should be 1/144 or 1/350
The first company to bring some out will make a killing and the T class has 3 major variations so like AFV and their various subs based on Gato/balao hulls there could be shared componants.

Cheers

US Cruiser from WWII, any and all.

RN Cruisers from WWII and and all.

In reality I am pretty lucky to have my two main ships in 1/350, Bismarck and Prinz Eugen.

Y'know what would probably make a ton of money? An resin update kit (or kits) full of sponsons and weapons and especially satellite domes to bring the 1/350 Nimitz or 1/350 Enterprise up to their current 2012 states. White Ensign has a bunch of updated brass items in one of their Nimitz sets; what I'd love to see is a resin kit to supplement it. Oh, and perhaps it should come with a Ray Bean CD/DVD that shows exactly where each update should go on each of ships.

A WW II Kriegsmarine Auxillary Cruiser / Merchant Raider.

Atlantis -Pinguin - Orion - Widder - Komet - Thor - Kormoron

Any one of them, in any scale, please !!

Next to the U-boat, these were the most effective units in the German Navy.

Since I just finished Rear Admiral Ben Bryant's book and couldn't shake the mood off; WW2 Brit Subs...
Rather in 1/144, 350 or 700, smaller the better!
1- S class (if possible Sealion, Safari, Snapper, Shark!)
2- T class (Linton's illfated Turbulent)
3- U class...

One thought, and something see with aircraft & armour soem "2 in 1" same ship at different periods, with the below suggestions I am thinking ships where most of the changes are AA / radar and no real major structural changes,

Start off ideas (1/350th for me of course)

HMS Norfolk 1941 (Demark Strait) / 1943 (North Cape)
HMS Sheffield 1941 (Force H) / 1943 (North Cape)
HMS Ajax 1939 (River Plate) / 1944 (D-Day)
HMS Penelope 1940 (Norway) / 1943 (Med)

May also allow at leas t 2 camo schemes if not more.

Dragon have done it with the USS Independance, although not announced on the box.

To be honest I would take any of the above, plus of course any Dido, batch 1 or 2 or Colony, or C/D/E class.

Another great 1/350th would be a Bogue class CVE, RN & USN fits, options fo a manufacturer to get several boxings, and modellers might have room for more than 1.

A lot of great responses. Looks like the ROdney/Nelson in 350 is in high demand. I want to add an LST to my list and maybe a tanker I have a Liberty.

British subs also have a high interest . All I have seen is some 350 scale nuc ones. Have to agree we need some Brit AC's as well

!/35th scale----L.C.I./L.S.T., Barges and harbor tugs. And in styrene, French RAG boat, monitors from V.Nam. Maybe some Jappanese landing craft and bargese to go with the new P.T. boats. How about some harbor patrol boats used in Iraq and such.

Hi Warren,

It was the Sufolk's sistership Cumberland that made the dash from Port Stanley to support Ajax & achilles off the Plate, off the top of my head both had the large hanger & cut down quarterdeck (Pls if I am wrong someone let me know), so a kit off one could lead to a kit of the other, and Suffolk was with Norfolk shadowing the Bismarck in the Denmark strait.

RussellE has good taste. I want, all in 1:350 Rodney/Nelson, Ark royal 3 and 4, HMS London, my grandad's shi during WWII. Modern era a correct Typhoon an improved Akula and a Valiant class SSN.1:144 OscarII would be nice save me scratchbuilding one after my 1:144 HMS Vengeance SSBN is finished.

All the best,

Peter.

I will pick up along your lines, Pete.
All in styrene (in resin there are already):

1/350 Akula (basic and improved, no Vepr, no Gepard, thanks!)
1/350 Typhoon (accurate and with better "surface details")
1/350 Sierra II

And to complement the existing US attack subs, a nice 1/350 Arco ARDM-5 drydock!

Obviously then, the utopialist

1/350 accurate Oscar II
1/350 Ohio SSGN

Nicola, forgot about Sierra II and Oscar in 1:350 while we are at it a new Delta IV and a Resolution class SSBN would be nice.

All the best,

Peter.
