More progress on the boats, both starboard boats with their lashings in place.

and the port boat.

No paddles are provided on the WEM etch and I have no spares on old frets, so some oars from a spare fret will be cut down.

The carley floats, well eight of them, with paddles and lashings in place.

fitted forward

And aft.

More soon
Si.

Thanks Jan,
They are not that bad really, bit of a disappointment that there is no help on the etch for them, but I may have found some help, will post todays update tomorrow (downloading on Sunday evening can be painfully slow).

Yesterday's progress.
The main armament components sprayed (don't know what went wrong with the exposure, looked fine on the camera)

Found some left over etched twin 4" details they seem to fit.

shield on.

A gun mount in place.

Actually doesn't look too bad in place.
Cheers

I agree totally, the 4.7" look pretty good once in place! Adding the main armament always makes such a big difference to a model!!

  Nice work!

Both masts built and kitted out with etch.

Two L'Arsenal single 20mm for the lower bridge wings.

Masts in place.

and the 20mm,

barrels could do with a touch of black, but not bad.
More next weekend
Cheers.

Very quick update.
Depth charges.
The WEM depth charge racks sprayed on the fret.

Folded up and fitted with the kit charges, apart from 1 set of three that I dropped, and they disappeared.

Fitted the racks very well.
And the racks on the stern.

More at the weekend (I hope)
Cheers

Thanks Mark,
I am getting into structural reworks on hulls. The kit has it's issues, but they are not beyond the with of man to cure, and a lot of it is very good indeed.

Managed to find some better anchor cable on an old fret, fitted.

The cable washed, and anchors fitted, I used the etched anchors as the kit did not sit right in the "re designed" hawse pipes.

The name plates painted and washed.

A scrape with a knife blade and they are legible, and in place on the after superstructure.

And an overview,

Just the mainmast to rig, railings and Jack and ensign staffs (Ought to shoot some paint at the stand and add the name to it as well.
Cheers
