Well this may be one of the short updates ever. I installed some railings..

That's it.. It would have been here this morning but we had a gale blowing and the power dropped out.

Cheers

Back again.

The end is now definitely in sight. I managed to get around to painting my Walrus, well the camo anyway.

Got some PE bending to do on those struts by the look of it. Then I put the rough looking props on..

Must have missed cleaning up that blade. Next the secondary armament went on, well this side anyway..

Next, see I didn't want to put the sticky uppy things on just yet I installed the deck railings, again on this one side..

Excuse the photo but here is one of the ship's cranes..

That wood brown in the cutter needs matting down. Then I finished off the Walrus, put it on its trolley and installed it on the catapault..

And yes, I know the red and blue parts of the decal are too big but they are the only 1/350 RAF roundels I have so they are on there. Tomorrow I start on the railings on the other side and that will be it. A new weekend and a new project maybe.

Cheers
Warren

Hi Jan,

Glad you could make it back onboard for the end game of the build. I attached the Admiral's Walk yesterday..

Hopefully it won't get knocked off. Then I started on the starboard side and attached the two secondary turrets and the second crane..

Sorry for the bluriness. Then I attached all the railings and barrier..

Not far to go now.

Cheers

All of a sudden, the grand old lady is finished! Excuse the backgrounds etc but I had to take the photos on a small table. One day I may get a light cube, but I doubt it..
Here is an over all view..

Then lots of piccies of the rest of the model. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Remember, the only dumb question is one you did not ask.

There is no rigging on the model as IMHO no rigging is fine enough to be manageable and scale size in 1/350.

That's it for now. Next up is the Trumpeter 1/350 USS Nimitz with some PE.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers
Warren

I know you probably know about it, but Flyhawk make a set for the Warspite as well. If the Pontos one is out of production...

Ah.. it isn't a bad set but the instructions are crap. Maybe they have improved them. If you need a hand with anything just ask.

Thanks Michael. Because the Flower was such a huge project it took about a year to complete... well it is almost complete... a few winches to construct for the the two dinghys.. but I need a break for a while.

Cheers
