Paul,

this is a stunning build and a wonderful tribute to your late wife. My condolences on her passing. I'm sure she would be very proud of what you have built here.

Indeed, you've earned a break!

But don't stay away too long-I will be keeping an eye out to see what next 'washes up' on your bench!

Thanks again for sharing.
Russ.

Paul,

I'm just seconding what Russ said, and joining in with my condolences.

You did and absolutely awesome job, your HMS Victory is way better than some models I've seen in museums. Fantastic.

Thank you for sharing your build here with us.

Hi there,
just joined. Am currently building the Mamoli 1:90 scale wooden kit of the Victory.

Didn't think I would like one with the sails on, but having just looked at your build I have to say I am impressed.

It kind of spoils the look of the masts with all the rigging in place when you look from the bow, with all the canvas in the way but looking from astern it really does look the part.

I take my hat off to you sir.

I did a plastic model of the Cutty Sark years ago when I was on my first trip to sea (ex UK Merchant Navy), and i know how frustrating it can be when you tighten u the lines only to have the masts bend again....

regards
