Very nicely done Thomas.

Thought I have made enough progress to post a few more photos of the 3 Deck Akagi.
I am down to getting the railings on and the support beams for the flight deck.
This is the first time I will display a ship on a water base. I have never done one before so I been going through quite a learning curve.
Started putting those tiny, tiny decals on the planes. 8 decals per plane and there are fifty four planes. After doing the first 5 I thought to myself I had to crazy or drunk to order additional planes.
Until the next post.

Some progress.
The catwalks and 20mm tubs.
Etched detail replaces the moulded on stuff on the bottom of the tubs.

sections of catwalk.

Fitted, the ladder and access to the door are separate parts.

the stbd side of the aft section done, and test fitted.

More soon.

Thanks Mark,
They are quite complex, but well designed, and if approached section by section not that daunting.

Michael,
Outstanding work so far. I hope you plan to mount your Enterprise on pedestals so viewers can get a peek at all that lovely brass work under the flight deck!

Everyone
Just a quick update on my Akagi. Mounted the ship to the base and cemented the deck onto the hull. Started to make the ship look like it moving across the water.
This is my first attempt at a water base and winging it as I go along.
There are a few touch ups, hardware and railing to add not counting the decals for all of those planes. I am hoping to have her finished by the end of the month.

Thanks Thomas.
Aluminum foil, white latex paint, lots of tissue paper, various Vallejo Model Air blues, green greys, greys, black, white, Future, White and transparent gel. Still have some more work to do on it. Main focus now is getting the decals on the air wing.
