Last weekend's progress.
The three infini 20mm built, awaiting fitting of barrels.

The maindeck railings fitted.

The bridge wing 20mm fitted in place.

and the quarterdeck mount.

Some etched anchor cables sourced, fitted and painted grey.

anchors fitted, and first wash on the cables.

rusty dry brush and wash, all over the fo'c's'le, and the jackstaff in place.

Ensign staff in place.

Just needs pennant numbers and an ensign.

After two days in the office, back to working from home today, so I have got the pennant numbers on, with a bit of luck I will find am ensign to fit tomorrow, so commissioning is very close.

Very kind of you to say so.
Being an ex Merchant Navy Officer, I have a fondness for those vessels that escorted convoys.
I joined my first ship in early 1978, and number of the Masters and Chief Engineers I sailed were cadets / junior officers during WW2, and were always willing to regale us young cadets with tails of those times.
