Mark,

That's some nice, subtle shading on the hull. I like how you aren't overdoing it too... all ships in service show some wear, but the IJN was especially proud of their superdreadnaughts!

Mark,

great work indeed - the deck looks spot on, and I admire your really cool looking weathering on the hull, that really gives depth to the model. Great work!

Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan. Took some trial and effort but I am very happy with the result.....Cheers mark

Really nice work on the pre-shading for the hull. It looks superb and gives that well used look. Wooden deck also looking the business. Will you do anything to that?

cheers
Michael

Thanks Michael. Am not sure yet on the Deck.....Cheers mark

Just a short update. Have started work on the BOw and Stern. The aft A/A Stand is mounted along with the Ship's Boats. Small details like Bollards and Winches are starting to be added to the Bow. More to come soon.....Cheers Mark

Looking great Mark. I've been following along quietly and very impressed by the progress, and the pre-shading weathering technique on the hull came up very nicely.

Cheers, D

Mark, she's looking very good, front and rear!

A little but I've been re-living my childhood a bit of late and watching through the original Star Blazers animated series on Youtube! An amazingly good ground breaking series that so many other Sci-fi shows drew inspiration from. Anyways, my point is, it is really interesting to see how the animators changed the design of the "Argo" from the original Yamato, which I keep noticing when I look through the pictures of your build

Thanks Mate. Surprisingly I sometimes have the same thoughts about Starblazers when I am building her. I might even use an old Yamato Kit and do her that way.....Cheers mark

If you're really keen, I think Bandai do a range of "Argos" with varying price points and have a whole range of the ships available from the series...

Mark,

Nice progress on the deck details. I always think deck details and rigging the hardest to finish.
