David,
I am still investigating, just can't remember all the reference material I looked at while researching for my Kirishima build. I will post it when find but I wouldn't wait.

Mark -
catching up after quite some time with your build. Great work! Your bridge looks splendid, and really nice work to the stack, and the superstructure is coming along very nicely, too!
Cheers

Mark,
Nice work with the placement of the ladders and PE on the stack. The PE ring around the stack always gives me fits, what is your technique on placement of those rings?
Mark
Thanks Mark. I use thick Super Glue Gel as it has a longer drying time. I place the part on and touch each end with the thick super glue then hit it with some accelerator. When Dry I touch each other section of the part with thin super glue to hold it in position.....Cheers Mark

I have not been able to post for a while because of work but I am still building her so here is the latest update.
Her A/A Superstructure has been built up.
Her 6 Inch Mounts are basically complete sans Barrels ready for some Paint.
The lower sections of her main 18 Inch Guns have been built up including the Ammo Hoists.
The interior of her 18 Inch Turrets have been completed and awaiting Paint and weathering.
The Turret Housings have been built up and detailed with P/E.
Last but not least the Aft Conning Position has been built up and detailed with P/E. Will have more to come soon.....Cheers mark

Mark, I've been off the boards for a while for a family vacation, but able to catch up now.
The guns look great. Was wondering: with this kit having so much detail are they able to be lifted out for inspection after completion?

Mark,
working on the guns for me most of the time is the most enjoyable part... These ones here look really impressive - I have never seen so much interior details to any turrets. Same question as Russ - will you be able to see all this in the end?
Cheers

Thanks Russell and yes the Turrets can be lifted out after completion. They are simply placed in the Turret Rings and not glued in.....Cheers mark

Mark,
Making nice progress, those sandbags are a nice touch. No much protection if they fired those 18" guns.

Mark,
She's looking sweet with those wood decks. I see you have even begun adding photoetch - a brave move this early in the construction process! Best of luck, I'm watching this one with interest!
