Welllll Tomaz, don't despair yet, mate. . . There ARE some 1/350 Japanese Navy subjects on the horizon (not Hasegawa, though!

my reaction is the same. We've been hearing about a 350 scale cruiser now for 3 years...yet no one has stepped forward and said they were actually working on doing one. As to Japanese warship, the one strongest in the rumor mill over the past 2 years has been the Akagi. Which though out of my spending limit currently would still be a wonderful thing to see.

You have to remember, these companies are catering to their home market, Japan, first and foremost. There has been a long wait for new injection molded plastic versions of these ships. The old ones were some of the first generation waterline ships. As for the IJN stuff in 1/350 scale...a buddy of mine keeps saying to sit tight, it's coming. He was the one who told me of the 1/350 Lexington and Saratoga, North Carolina and Hood long before any of those were officially announced. According to him, we are going to see at least one carrier (Akagi) and a couple of battleships (Nagato and at least one of the Kongo-class), and then maybe a cruiser. Again - that's all rumor, but he hasn't been wrong yet. Someone (Aoshima, IIRC) has announced a 1/350 Takao class cruiser for release sometime in 2007.

Oh yes, Mr. Quinn, you and your buddy are sooo right!!! I've been promised test shots as soon as they are available, trust me, these are no rumors. . . ~Gunny
