Earlier this year we got a big scale Nelson and now her sister, HMS Rodney is due for the holidays. Listed as a 'new variant' kit (No. 3709), it's reported to be available this coming December.
One of two Nelson-class battleships built for the Royal Navy in WWII, the HMS Rodney served in the Mediterranean Sea & Atlantic Ocean. She played a role in the sinking of the German Battleship Bismarck in May 1941, and participated in many coastal bombardments before being scrapped in 1948.
Kit consists of over 1,300 parts, including a single-piece hull, a single-piece deck casting, photo-etch and two Mk.1 airplanes. A Trumpeter flyer lists a suggested retail price of $399.00 (US).
As more information becomes available for this kit we'll post it MSW News.
