Scharnhorst was a beautiful ship with a good top speed and heavy main battery of nine eleven-inch guns. She also had the bad luck to be on the German side during WWII. Surface vessels contributed greatly to the German invasion of Norway, but shortly thereafter Allied radar and air superiority made venturing out on the surface deadly. Scharnhorst was cornered by British ships in the Battle of North Cape and sunk after heavy fighting. Kit features detailed deck, rotating turrets, 28 and 15cm guns, seaplane, display stand, and full decals.
